Welcome to the Office of Instructional Development at UCR

The mission of  the Office of Instructional Development is to support instructional innovation and excellence at the University of California at Riverside.  The Office of Undergraduate Education has committed resources to fund instructional innovation Programs, instructuional innovation & excellence grants, development programs, and support services to promote the effective use of current and emerging instructional methodologies, pedagogues, and technologies to enhance teaching and learning opportunities on our campus.

  • INSTRUCTIONAL SPACE

The Flex Classrooms are five renovated rooms in Surge 171, Surge 172, Surge 173, INTS 1121, INTS 1125.   These Flex Classrooms are equipped with advanced instructional technologies and movable furniture that is ideal for team-based learning approaches. The rooms can be configured to meet individual faculty needs and teaching styles. These rooms can be scheduled through a Flex Classroom Grant or a Room Request, please note that each option has different deadlines.  Scheduling for Winter 2009 is currently taking place,  the final deadline for room request for Winter 2009 is Monday, August 4, 2008.
